Many sprinkler manufacturers make bold claims about how big an area their sprinklers will cover. And consumers scratch their heads and feel misled, when they bring home their new sprinkler – only to realize that it does not perform nearly as well as claimed.

So are manufacturers making false claims? Well, some of them are at least not telling the full story. They might be a bit too focused on the best case scenarios like the performances measured in a testing facility under optimal conditions. Far from the conditions of the average consumer’s back yard.
